Did you know most new homes have a porch, versus a deck?

In the Portland Metro area, porches are part and parcel with the "Portland Craftsman," style. 

If you don't have a porch, that's okay. One can almost always be added onto an existing home to enhance the house's curb appeal, provide an outside entryway and give you a place to watch the rain fall, the birds fly and your garden grow in the fresh air while staying dry and comfortable. According to the National Association of Homebuilders, 66% of new homes started in our area in 2015 included a porch and 16% of builders polled reported adding porches to an existing home was a project they encountered regularly.
