Spring is coming, why not put the finishing touches on your home improvement project by adding some garden space?

Portland is know for being green, and you can tap into that spirit with your green thumb. Egg cartons make for great seedling start trays. Pallets are everywhere. You can use a few for a raised bed, or maybe a vertical garden is more your style. The folks over at the Micro Gardener have some great ideas. 

Another idea, while you're getting your plants started in the garden, old milk or soda jugs with pin holes at the bottom can be a great solution for a good deep watering over time- especially if YOUR time is limited!

So, spring is coming. Maybe it's time for you to bust out your work gloves and dig in!
